Frequently Asked Questions About DTF Transfers

🚀 Getting Started

What are DTF transfers?

DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers are printed film sheets that allow you to apply full-color designs onto garments using a heat press. They're great for apparel brands, hobbyists, and custom merch.

What do I need to press DTF transfers?

You’ll need a heat press that reaches 310–320°F and applies firm pressure. That’s it — no pretreatment or weeding required.

🔥 Pressing Instructions

What are the recommended press settings?

310–320°F for 10–15 seconds, firm pressure, cold peel. Always pre-press your garment to remove moisture before applying.

What materials can I press onto?

DTF transfers work on cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, and more — both light and dark fabrics. Just make sure the surface is flat and clean.

Why isn’t my transfer sticking properly?

Common reasons: not enough pressure, pressing too hot or cold, peeling too early, or moisture in the garment. Always follow instructions and test first.
